AIESEC Alumnus peldges 10'000 Euro per year to support growth initiatives in AIESEC.

Why do you think alumni should donate back to AIESEC?
AIESEC gives much more than just experience, it leaves a permanent stamp on a person. This manifests itself in several ways - in a sense of confidence in difficult situations, a sense of pride when reading a news article, a sense of belonging when running into other AIESECers. By supporting the organisation in whatever way possible (either time and/or money), AIESECers can demonstrate that they treasure these intangible benefits and perpetuate the principles and values that took them to AIESEC in the first place. In today's environment, support has become absolutely critical. When you start hearing about the impact this crisis has had on charitable giving, and the simultaneous importance being given to international understanding, reworking traditional business thinking, youth interaction, etc, you know that the whole field of education has to undergo much change. It is now a case of supporting organisations such as AIESEC which can accomplish many goals simultaneously.

Why did you choose to donate to AIESEC?
My family has always been very active in philanthropy, principally focusing on education, health and spirituality. One of my objectives was to give more structure to the giving. Rather than engage in ad-hoc giving on impulse, I wanted to identify focus areas and then engage with the beneficiaries on a long-term basis. The first area for this new approach was education, where I identified and selected beneficiaries active across ages, up to high-school level, undergraduate level and graduate level. As a past AIESEC member, I chose to work with the organisation. During our initial discussions we mutually identified key priority areas where philanthropy would have the maximum impact
